Welcome to Task 27 – Results of First Term
The first three-year term of Task 27 assembled experts from 14 countries and 12 organizations to develop the Recommended Practices for Wind Turbine Testing and Evaluation 12. Consumer Label for Small Wind Turbines. Subtask A developed a consumer label for small wind turbines in grid-tied and battery-connected applications as part of the Recommended Practice. Subtask B focused on peer-reviewed testing approaches. To carry out these tests, Task participants assembled an international group of testers called the Small Wind Association of Testers (SWAT).
In the first term, ten IEA Wind Task 27-IEC MT2 Liaison meetings were held in Madrid (Spain), London (United Kingdom), Wausau (United States), Toronto (Canada), Tokyo (Japan), Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog (Germany), Glasgow (United Kingdom), Boulder (United States), Perth (Australia), and Madrid (Spain).
